Day One
Settle in at the Neige et Roc hotel
Day Two
Morning: Sixt Fer à Cheval (horseshoe of cliffs reaching a height of 700 metres and about 30 waterfalls), two-hour walk. Meal at the hotel.
Afternoon: Rouget waterfall, "Queen of the Alps", the Tine Gorges. Guided tour of the market town and the Alpine botanical gardens.
Evening: featuring Savoie specialities.
Day Three
All-day outing: six-hour highland walk in LA VALLEE DE SALES. Picnic lunch.
Day Four
All-day outing: ‘Col de Joux Plane’ pass, promenade de la bourgeoise 90 minutes, spectacular view of Mont Blanc, MEAL IN OUR MOUNTAINSIDE CHALET.
Afternoon: Morzine, Montriond Lake, les Lindarets (goat village), going up the ‘Col de la Joux Verte’ pass

Day One
Settling in at the hotel, ‘welcome’ reception.
Day Two
Morning: Sixt Fer à Cheval (horseshoe of cliffs reaching a height of 700 metres and about 30 waterfalls), Rouget waterfall, "Queen of the Alps", the Tine Gorges, Samoêns 1600; ski resort.
Afternoon: Morzine, Montriond lake, les Lindarets (goat village), going up the ‘Col de le Joux Verte’ pass, visiting Avoriaz. Return via the ‘Joux Plane’ pass, spectacular view of Mont Blanc.
Light snack in a mountainside chalet.
Day Three
Morning: / Praz de Lys: balcony facing Mont Blanc, Les Gets (museum of clockwork music): €6 per person
Afternoon: Yvoire (mediaeval village on the shores of Lake Léman, with many flowers), Thonon (Ripaille castle, optional tour and Ripaille wine tasting, €8 per person). Return to the hotel.
Day Four
All-day outing: Chamonix (‘Sea of Ice’ glacier: €19 per person return trip featuring cave, fauna, and the crystal gallery, meal at Chamonix, Emosson Lake via panoramic funicular railway.
Evening: Savoie speciality dishes and live music
Day Five
Free morning; village market. Tour of the market town and Alpine botanical gardens.
Afternoon: tour of Samoëns village in a little train, and visiting a ‘tomme de Savoie’ cheesemaker’s cellar.
Day Six
All-day outing: Le Reposoir (stop-off at La Chartreuse, a convent founded in 1151), ‘Col de la Colombière’ pass (going down to Le Grand-Bornand) and Annecy (tour of the old town, meal aboard the lake cruise boat, €38 per person.)
Day Seven
Returning home
