At the foot of the mountains of Samoëns, their charming chalet hotel Neige et Roc, with its exposed timber and stone, boasts two swimming pools heated to 28° - an outdoor pool in summer, and an indoor one in winter: fun for old and young.

Summer 2010:

The Tour de France bike race will include a stage 20 km from here, in Morzine, on 11,12 and 13 July 2010. Remember to book your trip and be a part of one of the greatest French sporting events.

19 & 20 june: Maxi Avalanche, a downhill moutain bike race that attracts top European riders who take on the steep slopes around Samoëns.

3 to 5 july: Samoëns American Festival, Samoëns goes Country and Western, especially on the iconic 4th July, the american national celebration.

24 & 25 july: French Trial Moutain Biking Championship. Top protagonists from the French trial moutain biking sector will fight it out in the centre of the village. It's a great spectator sport!

7 to 13 august: 4th International Stonecarving Symposium. Samoëns is hostings its Fourth Stonecarving Symposium this year, with a theme entitled " Wind, the breath of creativity". For a week, Place des Dents Blanches in the centre of the old town will be turned into a sculpure studio.

21 & 22 august: La Rioule. The locals get involved in the most stunning re-marriage of the summer with a programme of local games and folklore.
